Parrot just released their third generation Zik headphones, the Zik 3.0. From the outward look, the latest release looks similar to the earlier release, the Zik 2.0 but, they are dissimilar in a number of things. The latest 3.0 edition has been improved in a number of ways to enhance the user experience and make the brand one of the best in the market.
Here are some of the differences between the Parrot Zik 2.0 and the Parrot Zik 3.0 headphones:
Noise Reduction capabilities
The Zik 3.0 headphone features the latest technology as far as noise reduction is concerned. The noise reduction technology allows the headphone to adapt to its environment. It is fitted with several microphones that pick up sound from its surroundings and cancel the noise enabling you the user to only enjoy the music without hearing the background noises. Additionally, the Street Mode feature allows you to listen to your favorite music while connected to your surroundings. The Zik 2.0, on the other hand, does not have this feature. You will listen to your music while also hearing the background noise from your close environs.
Battery Level Indicator
The Parrot Zik 2.0 headphones do not have the battery level indicator. This means that you as the user will not know whether the battery is low or full. On the other hand, the Parrot 3.0 edition comes with a battery level indicator that will show you when to recharge the battery or when not to recharge.
Stereo Speakers
The 3.0 edition comes with stereo speakers. Devices with stereo speakers provide clear sound that surrounds the user from right side to left side. This feature creates a richer sound and enhances your listening experience. The 2.0 edition does not have the surround sound capabilities.
Headset Usability
The Zik 3.0 headphones can be used as a headset. This is because it comes with an inbuilt microphone that can be used when communicating for example through voice chat, Skype or when having a conversation on your mobile phone. The Zik 2.0 does not have this feature. It is just a headphone for listening to music.
In-line Control Panel
The Zik 2.0 edition features an in-line control panel that is found on the cable. This control panel allows you to easily operate the headphone without necessarily having to touch it. The 3.0 version only has the control panel placed on the device itself. This means that you must interact with the device to operate it.
Depending on which edition you choose, both the Zik 2.0 and Zik 3.0 headphones deliver quality music and are arguably the best on the market.
